The ecostore range currently consists of more than 100 products, all of which are manufactured in New Zealand to the latest environmental and sustainability standards.
The guiding principle of formulations is that the end product must not only be good for the planet, but must also be good for the user. Individual health issues are at the forefront of product development.
ecostore was founded in 1993 by Malcolm and Melanie Rands from their home in an eco village in New Zealand. Their dream was ambitious - to create a healthier more sustainable world.
One of the ways they saw to do this was to set up a business providing everyday household products that could help people be healthier and ‘green up’ at home.
The second way was by setting up the Fairground Foundation. Fairground is a charitable organisation that is funded by ecostore profits to promote sustainability through ‘on-the-ground’ action.
ecostore is a principles-based company. We think everyone has a right to know exactly what's in the products they use everyday and whether or not they could be harmful to our health. That's why we go above and beyond legal requirements by listing every ingredient on our product labels and why you can count on us to deliver on our promise.
Once we’re satisfied that our product formulations pass our own strict health and safety criteria, we send them to an independent laboratory to be benchmarked against the market leader to guarantee excellent performance.
When all laboratory testing on our products is complete we carry out extensive in-house testing as well as large-scale consumer testing to make sure our customers love them.
Ongoing Improvement. Eco-science is rapidly developing so we’re always improving our products. This process of continuous improvement is central to our values we absorb any costs rather than pass them on to our customers.
